Dr. PS Lin joined VentureTech in August 2005.  He is currently based in Taiwan and focuses on investments in Asia. 

PS has over twelve years of experience in the semiconductor industry.  He spent the previous nine years with TSMC where he held a number of positions including design manager, account manager for Taiwan and Korea, and sales director for China. PS was the first sales person from TSMC to explore the Chinese market.

Prior to TSMC, he spent 3 years at IBM’s TJ Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights specifically focused on innovations on high-speed and microprocessor design.  Dr. Lin’s previous experience also includes positions as a project manager for a Taiwan-based system integration company that was later merged with United Integration Services, a public company in Taiwan, and as a researcher at Chung-Shang Institute of Science and Technology, a Taiwan state-owned defense research and development organization.

PS Lin holds a B.S. degree in Control Engineering from National Chiao-Tung University in Taiwan and a M.S. and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University in New York.
